    Linda Ward O’Farrell

    Managing Partner, CHRP, SCERP, CGMP

    Linda Ward O’Farrell is the founder of Ward O’Farrell Consultants Inc., providing innovative mobility management solutions to corporations. Linda has over 25 years experience in the field. She manages a team of professionals who benchmark, analyze, design and implement relocation policies, and assist clients in their supplier management through the preparation of RFPs and service quality surveys.

    Prior to launching this consulting firm, Linda was Director Human Resources Services for Canadian Pacific Railway and managed one of the largest group moves in Canada. As well, with a team of seasoned and young professionals, Linda has designed and launched Designmymove.com, an exciting new site to help anyone who is buying or selling real estate, renting or moving. She has published many articles on relocation issues and is a frequent speaker at professional conferences and seminars.

    Linda is fluently bilingual and has a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Relations from Université Laval. Linda is an active member of CERC (Canadian Employee Relocation Council), has served on the Board of Directors in a variety of positions, including as Chairperson.

    Linda received the Senior CERP professional designation from CERC and was awarded the CERC President’s Award in 2005 for her outstanding contribution to the relocation industry. She is also a member of the Human Resources Professional Association and holds the designation of Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP).

    John O’Brien

    Managing Partner

    As Managing Partner with Ward O’Farrell Consultants Inc. since 2004, John O’Brien has conducted policy benchmarking studies, written and managed Request for Proposals processes for corporations, assisting clients in sourcing both relocation policy and moving service providers.

    John has over 20 years experience within the transportation industry, including operations management, client relations, training & development, quality improvement, government relations, and sales & account development.

    Prior to joining Ward O’Farrell Consultants, John was on the executive team as Vice President of two Van Lines in Canada. John has held strategic positions with several moving companies and contributed to the success of three of the four major Van Lines servicing North America.

    His depth of expertise and proven ability to champion strategic initiatives has resulted in significantly reducing moving costs for corporations, increasing the efficiency of critical processes, and enhancing the value of clients’ alliances with suppliers.

    John holds an Accounting and Financial Management Diploma from Centennial College, has written articles on relocation policy and moving issues, and has been actively involved in several industry associations.

    John O’Brien and Linda Ward O’Farrell successfully completed the 288km bicycle rides from Montreal to Quebec City two years in a row and were instrumental in personally raising over $16,000 and helping their team raise over $35,000 for cancer research and care.
